My Cricut Craft Room- Cancer Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping by today for the Cancer Blog Hop that is being hosted by Erica of http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com
You should have came from Tina's site. If you didn't please start with Erica's site.
Wasn't Tina's projects Fab. :) Love seeing what she makes.

I wanted to do this blog hop because its something that can affect everyone in one way or another. I made a card that represents 3 different cancers.

The picture doesn't show the colors right

The colors I used, the meanings and why I used those colors.

The 1st ribbon is pink which is breast cancer I used that one because my mom. She had a scare with this 2 years ago.
The 2nd ribbon is gray. This ribbon is for brain cancer/tumor. I had to pick this for my nephew who had to have a brain tumor removed at the age of 4. He is now 9 and can not even tell that anything was wrong with him.
The 3rd ribbon is for ovarian. I picked this one for my own personal battle with the possibility of having this cancer. I had to have my left ovary removed when my oldest daughter was just 6 weeks old due to a cyst that grow from the size of a pea to the size of a baseball in less then 9 months. That was 6 years ago in June. Once again it wasn't cancer but still to have the awareness out there :)

Now how I made this card
I used white card stock that is Georgia pacific.
The card is 5 in square
The black card stock I used in my cuttlebug using the swiss dot embossing folder
The ribbon are cut from Stand and Salute cricut cartridge. I do believe I cut them out at 3in.
The "Life" is also cut using Stand and Salute cut at 1.5 I do believe
The ribbon, flower and brad is from my stash
and the saying at the bottom says "Leaving cancer in the dark"

Thank you for stopping by
Until next time Stay Crafty

My IMAGINE-ation! Mondays @ My Cricut Craft Room

Cant believe its monday already. Well Today is My Imagine-ation Mondays over at My Cricut Craft Room http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com and I made 2 very simple little things only using my imgaine. :)

First off is a cute little card
Supplies
Imagine
Yummy Cartridge
and
Create a Critter cartridge

The card is a standard A2 size card. I cut the elephant on pg 55 of create a critter at 2.5 and used all the layers. The balloons came from pg 30 of create a critter and 2 of them are cut at 2 inches and 1 at 2.5. The lets play is also from create a critter on pg 4 and is cut at 1.5. You might be asking we did I use the Imagine. well all the paper color and print is from the Yummy Cartridge. I love the balloon print for the balloons. :)

My second little play around and am sorry I dont remember all the details I just wanted to show this. I have been a little stressed lately and I just wanted to relax and made this.

I can tell you that the clock shape and the blue cloud all came from the Kate Kitchen Cartridge the little bubble is a shape that is preloaded on the Imagine. The stickers are ones that I found at Joann's for under a dollar.

For my projects I made a card that is going in the mail. :)

For this card I used
Sweetheart cartridge- I do not remember what size I cut everything out at SORRY :(
The card base I used just white card stack found in my stashed
I used Tim Holtz distressed ink in Dusty Concord
I used the swiss dot cuttlebug folder
I used a lovely flower from a friend and some heart shaped bling from my stashed
On the bride I did some heat embossing. :)

I also made a layout.
For my layout I used some pictures I had taken over the last couple of years of my girls. Sisterly Love. :)

For my layout I used
DCWV Blossoms & Butterfly pack.
The Heart, Star, and love is cut from Home Decor cartridge
The big butterflies are cut from Paisley cartridge
The little butterflies are cut using a die for the cuttlebug.
Here is a close up of the lowest butterfly that I used crochet thread to cover. :) I love doing stuff like that.
