Wasn't Tina's projects Fab. :) Love seeing what she makes.
I wanted to do this blog hop because its something that can affect everyone in one way or another. I made a card that represents 3 different cancers.
The picture doesn't show the colors right
The colors I used, the meanings and why I used those colors.
The 1st ribbon is pink which is breast cancer I used that one because my mom. She had a scare with this 2 years ago.
The 2nd ribbon is gray. This ribbon is for brain cancer/tumor. I had to pick this for my nephew who had to have a brain tumor removed at the age of 4. He is now 9 and can not even tell that anything was wrong with him.
The 3rd ribbon is for ovarian. I picked this one for my own personal battle with the possibility of having this cancer. I had to have my left ovary removed when my oldest daughter was just 6 weeks old due to a cyst that grow from the size of a pea to the size of a baseball in less then 9 months. That was 6 years ago in June. Once again it wasn't cancer but still to have the awareness out there :)
Now how I made this card
I used white card stock that is Georgia pacific.
The card is 5 in square
The black card stock I used in my cuttlebug using the swiss dot embossing folder
The ribbon are cut from Stand and Salute cricut cartridge. I do believe I cut them out at 3in.
The "Life" is also cut using Stand and Salute cut at 1.5 I do believe
The ribbon, flower and brad is from my stash
and the saying at the bottom says "Leaving cancer in the dark"
Thank you for stopping by
Until next time Stay Crafty
